Young PDSA Photographer Awards

2009 logo

We’ve got just the project for you to get stuck into this summer. Capture a purr-fect animal photo and you could be our Young PDSA Photographer of the Year!

Winners will bag themselves the top prize of a funky digital camera and a CeWe Photobook, which allows you to create a professionally bound book to hold all your digital photos. You will also receive a VIP tour of your local PDSA PetAid hospital and get to meet the vets, nurses and pet patients!

Runners-up will get a CeWe Photobook and a Pet Protectors goodie bag!

There are 3 catergories:

1) Animal/wildlife photograph (Aged 12 and under)

2) Animal/wildlife photograph (Aged 13-18)

3) Pet portrait (18 and under)

Dog running

The best pictures are of your pets doing the things they love most, perhaps running in the park, sleeping on their favourite chair or looking out of the window.

Think about the background of the photo, if you want it in black and white or colour, try getting down low or up high to get a different and exciting angle.

You can enter by filling in this form and posting it to us with your entry to:

Young PDSA Photographer Awards, Head Office, Whitechapel Way, Priorslee, Telford, Shropshire, TF2 9PQ.

Or you can email your picture and details to: youngphotographer@pdsa.org.uk

If you are entering more than one picture, please include full details with each photo.

Remember the most important thing is that no animal should be put in any discomfort or danger. Dressing them up might seem cute or funny, but the best pictures of animals are those of them behaving naturally.

The deadline for this competition is 30 September 2009.
