2009 Winners
We can finally reveal the winners of the 2009 Young PDSA Photographer Awards!
The judges were very impressed with the standard of entries and choosing just one winner and runner-up for each catergory was very difficult!
We'd like to thank everyone who entered this year and here are the results ...

Best Pet Portrait winner! Maddie Sims
This picture was a clear favourite with the judges. The facial features jump out of the photograph and it's cropped to really frame the face.

Best Pet Portrait runner-up! Angela Dunn
This cat loves posing for the camera and it looks totally relaxed chilling out in the garden.

12 and under winner! Stacy Squires
The dawn lighting shows off the warmth of this cute red squirrel on a cold winter morning.

12 and under runner-up! Ria Eldridge
The judges appreciate insect photography is not easy and this photography really focuses on the dragonfly to show off its finer details.

13-18 years winner! Amy Thompson
This photo captures a cat doing what it does best - keeping guard over its territory. The judges loved how the sun illuminates the cat's fur around the ears and face.

13-18 years runner-up! Daniele Clifford
This stunning picture of a cockerel captures its features and the colours really stand out against the green background.
