Collecting box challenge
This challenge is a good way to raise money for sick and injured pets by asking people you know to have a PDSA collecting box for 3 months.
Here's how
- Fill in the PetAid challenge notification form telling us you plan to do this challenge and we will send you an authority badge and 5 PDSA collecting boxes.
- Ask your friends, relative, school, college etc., if they will take a box to put spare change in.
Remember
- You must get the person's permission to place a box.
- Do not go door to door asking for donations or stand on the street collecting - this form of fundraising needs a special licence and we would not want you to get into trouble.
- Don't forget to show your authority badge so people know you are a genuine PDSA PetAid challenger.
- Please do not place these boxes in commercial premises (shops, pubs etc.) as PDSA organises this differently.
Then
- After about 3 months collect the boxes and count up the contents to see how much you've raised. (Ask your guarantor to help you if you're under 16.)
- Send in a cheque or postal order, made payable to PDSA, to the PDSA National Volunteering Centre, Unit 9, City Business Centre, Hyde Street, Winchester SO23 7TA.
- Also, send us a list of all the people who help boxes for you and how much was in their box - that way we can send them a thank-you receipt.
All money raised from your collecting boxes will go towards the cost of treating sick and injured pets at our 43 PDSA PetAid hospitals.
Once we have received your completed PetAid challenge report form plus the proceeds, we'll send you your PetAid challenge certificate and prize.
It's that simple! |
